Our Services

Concrete Preservation Technologies offer a range of services to assist the client in developing an understanding of corrosion issues on their structures. Understanding the origin and extent of corrosion activity is imperative to formulating the best value repair or maintenance solution.

Testing and Assessment

A range of physical assessment services for reinforced concrete structures are offered by CPT including half-cell potential mapping and chloride profiling. This data allows the client to understand the fundamental issues affecting a structure and apply the most cost effective solution. CPT offer comprehensive technical support and commonly help clients in formulating a cost effective concrete remediation solution.

Monitoring Services

CPT offer a full monitoring service in which a monitoring system can be designed in conjunction with the client, fabricated and installation managed on site. Physical parameters commonly monitored include steel potential, steel corrosion rate, galvanic current output, crack movement and temperature. Corrosion monitoring systems often form part of a life care plan.

Mathematical Modeling

Modeling can be used to gain an understanding of the chloride diffusion characteristics of concrete, both in new and existing structures. With a knowledge of chloride ion content from site, and known concrete physical properties, chloride ion diffusion rates can be modeled offering an indication of estimated time to corrosion initiation. This can be used as part of a life care plan strategy.

Our Monitoring Services

At CPT we are aware that corrosion management of civil structures is often a complex issue. In order to help a client to preserve their property CP-Tech have developed and offer a full monitoring service in which a monitoring system can be designed in conjunction with the client, fabricated and installation managed on site. The physical parameters monitored give an indication of corrosion activity and is commonly used for long term assessment.

The purpose of our monitoring systems is to evaluate measured results periodically and to identify potential corrosion problems early on allowing the owner enough time to treat the problem before corrosion spreads to other parts of concrete structure. Discovering corrosion problems early greatly decreases repair costs.
