Rebaguard

It is now well appreciated that many concrete structures suffer from induced corrosion damage due to incipient anode corrosion resulting after concrete repairs. Although the fresh mortar in patch repairs offers a passive environment for the steel within, it does not deal with chloride contaminated concrete outside of the patch repair. This leads to further corrosion damage at the periphery of the repair.

Rebaguard anodes redress the electrochemical imbalance induced as a result of the removal of the influence of previously corroding steel in the patch repair. This corroding steel in the patch offered cathodic protection to adjacent steel.  Rebaguard anodes corrode preferentially to the surrounding steel protecting it from further corrosion damage. Rebaguard anodes also use a flexible attachment system allowing positioning of the Rebaguard anode away from the steel appreciably enhancing current distribution.

Rebaguard offers the following beneficial features:

Rebarguard

Rebaguard's expected lifetime of up to 20 years provides a cost effective, measurable method of corrosion protection in concrete.  The Rebaguard sacrificial anode can be applied to a wide range of concrete structures including:

In addition CPT offer full monitoring system to allow proof of performance.
